Are We Making the Right Decision? Exploring Ethical Deliberation Through Interactive Case Analysis

A key component of the clinical ethics consultation is the ethical deliberation of the pertinent issues. This interactive webinar is designed to help those who perform clinical ethics consultation to hone their skills in ethical issue spotting and deliberation. The presenters will also discuss the different ways the committee’s or consultant’s ethical deliberation and case analysis can be recorded.

NOTE: The webinar speakers will be using an internet-based audience response system. Participants will need to have a phone with the ability to text in order to join in.

Objectives:
1) Describe the purpose and process of ethical deliberation and identify different frameworks of ethical deliberation.
2) Examine appropriate ways of recording ethical deliberation.
3) Identify pertinent ethical issues and assess the ethical analysis in the cases presented.
