Wonderful lectures in this informative session. Thank you!
Please note that so called modified iliac screws allow for many of the same advantages of S2AI and actaully improve biomechanics.
Also, the Bedrock device removes an awful lot of bone and doesn't actually accomplish a 'fusion' but rather a hybrid form of integrated stabilization
Congratulations to Dr Douglas on a very elegant lecture
Excellent talks everyone. Thank you!

Thanks Jen, actually no bone is removed for the bedrock procedure, it is broached over a guidewire so the bone is compacted to conform to the triangular shape (in this case). The main difference between the SI and S2AI is the incorporation of the SI joint into the construct and long term stability as reflected in the differential failure rates over time. Chris Shaffery has noted that in general Lumbopelvic stabilizations are now split between the two types of fixation methods (about 50/50). I think the SILVIA study will be very helpful in illustrating the effect of contemporaneous SI joint fusion at the caudal end of the construct. Thank you! cliff
great talk , presurgurgical embolization was done in hybrid OR ?
just several cases in the same operation, most are performed in separate operations
Thank you so much Dr. Kirsch!! Your work is very exciting!
I second that! great hearing about your work...and seeing my old stomping ground at the "clip joint"! Good to see you!!
